Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi’s Role At Banco Bradesco

     Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi was born in October 1951 in Marilla, Sao Paulo. He has a rich educational background from prestigious institutions in Brazil. He attained his degree from the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences, and Letters of Sao Paulo.

He later graduated with a Ph.D. in Physiology from Fundacao School of Sociology based in Sao Paulo. He commenced his career as the clerk at Banco Bradesco. He worked at the firm for over 15 years performing a variety of tasks.

After gaining sufficient skills and extensive expertise in leadership, he was promoted to the position of marketing director. He served in the area for eight years. In the year 1992, Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Bradesco, a private corporation that specializes in the private pension.

Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi worked at the firm for six years as the CEO. He worked with immense dedication and commitment. In the year 1998, he was unanimously elected as the managing director of the firm.

It only took him a year to take over the position of the Executive Vice President of Banco Bradesco. Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi was majorly involved in the enlisting of Bradesco on the New York Stock Exchange.

In 2003, he also became the president of over seven companies including Capitalization, Bradesco Seguros, and Bradesco Saude. He played a vital role in the expansion of Bradesco Seguros, making it the largest insurance company in Latin America.

He was appointed the President of the company in the year 2009. His success continued to grow when he enabled the bank to acquire HSBC in Brazil. This was the most significant purchase of the company since its inception.

Later in that year, he won the Entrepreneur of the Year award in the finance field presented by Dinheiro Magazine. Under his leadership, Unibrad University was founded. It is a corporate university aimed in the provision of first-class skills and expertise in the business world.

It was voted the best corporate university in the world by the GlobalCCU Awards in 2017.

Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi was appointed the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bradesco.

He replaced Lazaro de Mello in the position. In the year 2018, there was a reshuffle of managerial roles in the Bank. Octavio de Lazari took Cappi’s position. He, however, retained his role at the council presidency providing advise to the company’s leadership.
